Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
PixFoundry (“we”, “us”) operates the website at mechanicalfoundryshop.com. This policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use the site. The short version: your images never leave your device, we do not have user accounts, and we do not sell personal data.
Your images and files
All image tools on PixFoundry run entirely inside your web browser. When you add a file, it is read and processed by code (JavaScript and WebAssembly) running on your own device. Files are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else’s. We never see, store, analyse or have access to your images, their contents or their metadata. When you close or reload the page, the processed files are discarded from your browser’s memory.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use any tool. You will see the page loading its own code and small anonymous usage reports (described below), but no request containing your files.
Information collected automatically
Hosting
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data needed to deliver web pages and protect the site from abuse, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This processing is done by Cloudflare as our service provider, and is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how fast they load. It does not use cookies, does not use local storage, and does not track you across websites or build a profile of you. It records aggregate information such as page views, referring sites, country and device type.
Anonymous usage statistics
To find out which tools work well and where they fail, the tool pages send short anonymous reports to our own server (/api/e). A report contains only labels and rough categories:
- which tool page you are on, and that it was opened;
- when you add files: how many, their format (for example “HEIC”) and a size range (for example “1–5 MB”);
- when a file is processed: the input and output format, a size range, a resolution range (for example “12–24 megapixels”), how long processing took, and how much smaller or larger the result was; or, if it failed, the kind of error (for example “unsupported format”);
- that you downloaded a result, and how many files;
- your answer if you use the “Did this work for you?” prompt;
- if the page’s code crashes, a short technical error message with any web addresses removed.
When a report arrives, our server adds your country (as determined by Cloudflare) and a broad browser, operating-system and device category (for example “Chrome”, “iOS”, “mobile”). It does not store your IP address or full browser identifier, and reports contain no file names, image contents, metadata, exact file sizes or exact dimensions. No cookies or identifiers are used, so reports cannot be linked to each other or to you. They are stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine, which keeps data for three months, and we only look at totals.
Cookies and local storage
PixFoundry itself does not set cookies and does not store personal information in your browser’s local storage.
Advertising
To keep the tools free, we may display advertising provided by Google (Google AdSense) and its partners. When advertising is enabled:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a certified consent management platform before any non-essential cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time.
For more information, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and delete correspondence when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Because we do not operate user accounts and do not collect personal data ourselves beyond what is described above, there is usually no personal data held by us about you. If you are in a region with data protection laws, such as the EU, UK or California, you have rights to access, correct or delete personal data about you; contact us and we will help, including with requests concerning our service providers.
Children
PixFoundry is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when advertising is enabled or a service provider changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
