Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 October 2026

These terms govern your use of PixFoundry, the image tools available at mechanicalfoundryshop.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

PixFoundry provides free tools for converting, compressing, resizing, cropping and removing metadata from images. The tools run in your web browser: your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. No account is required.

Your content

You keep all rights to the images you process. Because files never reach our servers, we do not receive, store or claim any licence to them. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use and modify the images you process, and for complying with any laws that apply to them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Image processing depends on your browser and device; results may vary, and some files may fail to process. Always keep a copy of your original files. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, free of errors, or that output files will meet the requirements of any third party, such as an upload form or platform.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixFoundry and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, images, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to zero, as the Service is provided free of charge, except where such a limitation is not permitted by law.

Third-party services and advertising

The Service is hosted by Cloudflare and may display advertising provided by third parties such as Google. Your interactions with those third parties are governed by their own terms and policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Open-source components

PixFoundry uses open-source software, including libheif (LGPL-3.0), MozJPEG, libwebp, libavif, oxipng and other codecs from the Squoosh and jSquash projects, and fflate. These components are provided under their respective licences. Information about them is available on the About page.

Changes

We may modify the Service or these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date above shows the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
